Knife Edge Gate Valve

The KNIFE GATE VALVE is a valve with dependable separator of line fluid be it solid, dry or wet, passing, parallel facing through it and is equipped with a sharp heavy slicer at the bottom of the gate. These valves are used to shut off the flow of fluids rather than for flow regulation.

General Applications:

KNIFE GATE VALVES without an extra sealing ring on the gate or the seat are used in applications where minor leaking of the valve is not an issue, such as heating circuits or sewer pipes. These valves are mostly suited for abrasive slurries, pulp stock, semi-solids, dry ash, chips, etc.
